The Cottages

In the perfect rural location our cottages are an ideal base for exploring the Dales. Bramble and Buttercup cottages are within walking distance of the historic village of Ripley, a ten minute drive from Harrogate.

The area is a haven for birdwatchers – red kites, lapwings and curlews are frequent visitors to our fields. Bramble Cottage has a double bedroom whilst Buttercup cottage has a double ensuite bedroom with a single bedroom and house bathroom. Both cottages have a sitting/dining room with flat screen TVs, DVD players etc. Both have well equipped kitchens and with under floor heating you are assured of a comfortable stay at any time of year.

Bramble Cottage Bramble cottage is a one bedroomed cottage, with a well equipped kitchen that hopefully has everything you might need for your culinary skills. The cottage has a sitting/dining room, with a comfortable sofa, a dining table and chairs with a view overlooking Slate Rigg Farm fields. With a flat screen digital TV and a DVD player and radio, even if the Yorkshire weather is a tad inclement you will have plenty to occupy yourselves with. Books, CD’s, DVD’s and games have also been provided. The shower room has a large shower with a WC, wash hand basin and a heated towel rail and shaver point. We allow very well behaved pets in the cottages, although not in the bedrooms or on the furniture. When outside they must be kept on a lead at all times due to nearby livestock. 2011 Cottage prices per week Bramble Cottage prices start at £250 in low season rising to £395 in high season. Buttercup Cottage Buttercup cottage is a slightly larger cottage with a double ensuite bedroom and a single bedroom with a house bathroom. The ensuite has a shower, WC, and wash basin with a heated towel rail and the house bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, WC, wash basin and again a heated towel rail. Both cottages have feather and down quilts for that extra bit of luxury. Buttercup cottage is provided with all the same homely comforts as Bramble Cottage. Both cottages have patios with outdoor furniture for those guests relaxing after a hard day out exploring the Dales or towns of North Yorkshire. Both cottages have access to the Boot Room. This is a room at the end of the cottages which houses the washer, dryer and freezer. There are also drying/storing facilities for wet clothes/boots etc. And storage for bikes. 2011 Cottage prices per week Buttercup Cottage prices start at £275 in low season rising to £450 in high season.
