Slate Rigg Farm Holiday Cottages – Terms and Conditions

Booking
The written booking confirmation that you receive from us (by post or e-mail) is our contract with you and it binds you to the following terms and conditions (your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions).
On receipt of your booking confirmation please notify us immediately if it contains any errors.
We reserve the right to amend prices without notice, but once a booking confirmation has been issued we guarantee that the price will not increase, unless the booking is amended.

Payment
Payments can be accepted by cheque or bank transfer.
Please make cheques payable to Mrs D Bowes.  Bank transfer details are available on request.
If your booking confirmation is issued more than 8 weeks before the holiday commencement date, you need only pay a deposit of £50 immediately.  The balance will then be due 4 weeks before the holiday commencement date.
If your booking confirmation is issued less than 4 weeks before the holiday commencement date, you will need to pay for the holiday in full immediately by one of the above methods, to ensure funds have been received and cleared before the holiday begins (please allow four working days).
In the event of late or non-payment, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.  We will refund any deposit already received (less a £30 administration fee) only if we are able to re-let the property for the period originally booked by you.

Cancelling a Booking
Cancellations can only be accepted in writing.  We will make every effort to re-let the property for the period originally booked by you.  If we are successful in doing this, we will refund any deposit already received (less a £30 administration fee).  Otherwise no refunds can be given.

Your Holiday Property
You will be able to access the property after 3.30pm on the holiday commencement date, and must vacate the property by 10.00am on the last day.
In the week preceding your booking please ring to confirm your time of arrival and you will be told about obtaining keys and accessing the property.
Included in the price of the holiday is all the bed linen and towels and heating.

The property cannot be used for any commercial purposes during the course of your stay.
There may be small differences between the property and photographs and/or descriptions shown on the website or in other literature.
We reserve the right to enter the property at reasonable times (or in an emergency) to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance.
Please note that smoking is not permitted in the property.

Party Size
The number of occupants should not exceed that shown on the booking confirmation letter.

The Holidaymaker’s Responsibilities
The Holidaymaker is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of the same. All equipment, utensils, etc. and the property must be left clean and tidy and with all its contents in the same condition that you found them on your arrival.

Damage
Where any items have been broken, damaged, lost or removed and/or where additional cleaning or maintenance costs have been incurred, you will be liable for any costs so arising.

Well behaved pets are welcome. You must bring your own pet basket with you, as pets are allowed on the clear understanding that under no circumstances may they lie on bedding or chairs.
Pets must not be allowed in the bedrooms or left unattended in properties or elsewhere. Pets must be kept on the lead outside at all times due to livestock.
